What's up y'all? My name is Kristian Sacca, I was born in Orange, NJ and I've been drawing since I was 3.
For me, when I was little I use to draw everything I saw on TV. I've always wanted to be a famous artist.
Comic books were a big time inspiration for me. From the first time I looked at a Spider-Man issue to right now.
As the years went by I got more detailed in my work, never had a teacher. It just came naturally. All I know is
this is what I love to do and I wouldn't have it any other way.
My hero for the cover is a vigilante named Black Hood. His powers are shadow manipulation and teleportation.

Bangalore 560 012, India One type of genuine fuel cell that does holdpromise in the long-term is
the biological fuel cell.Unlike conven-tional fuel cells, which employ hydrogen, ethanol andmethanol
as fuel, biological fuel cells use organic pro-ductsproduced by metabolic processes or use
organicelectron donors utilized in the growth processes as fu-elsfor current generation. A distinctive
feature of bio-logicalfuel cells is that the electrode reactions arecontrolled by biocatalysts, i.e.
the biological redox-reactionsare enzymatically driven, while in chemicalfuel cells catalysts such
as platinum determine theelectrodekinetics. This article provides a brief intro-ductionto biological
fuel cells along with their envis-agedapplications.A fuel cell is an electrochemical device that
continuouslyconverts chemical energy to electrical energy for as longas fuel and oxidant are supplied
to it. Beginning with thespace programme of the sixties and followed by the energycrisis of the seventies,
we have seen a truly substantialimprovement in generic fuel-cell technologies 1–3 . Albeittheir high
operational-efficiency, the advantages of thesefuel cells are partially offset by the high cost of catalysts,
high operational-temperatures, and the corrosive electro-lytesemployed with them. In this regard,
biological fuelcells 4–6 are both attractive and promising. Unlike chemi-calfuel cells, biological fuel
cells operate under mild reac-tionconditions, namely ambient operational temperatureand pressure.
They also employ neutral electrolyte and useinexpensive catalysts such as platinum. In biological fuelcells,
the catalyst is either a microorganism as simple asBaker’s yeast or an enzyme 7–11 . Biological fuel
cells con-vertthe chemical energy of carbohydrates, such as sugarsand alcohols, directly into electric
energy. As most or-ganicsubstrates undergo combustion with the evolutionof energy, bio-catalysed
oxidation of organic substancesby oxygen at the two electrode interfaces provides ameans for the
conversion of chemical energy into electri-calenergy. In normal microbial catabolism, a substratesuch
as carbohydrate is oxidized initially without partici-pationof oxygen, while its electrons are taken up by
anenzyme-active site, which acts as a reduced intermedi-ate12 , described as follows.
C6H12O6 + 6H2O ® 6CO2 + 24H + + 24e – ,E 0 = 0.014 V. (1)(Intermediate)ox + e – ® (Intermediate)
re. (2)In the absence of oxygen, the electrons are diverted to theelectrode by some means and made
to pass through theouter circuit, and ultimately combine with an electronsink, namely, molecular oxygen
as follows.6O2 + 24H + + 24e – ® 12H2O, E 0 = 1.23 V. (3)If a continuous fuel flow to the aforesaid
microbial fuelcell is maintained, it acts as a biological fuel cell. A typicalbiological fuel cell is shown
schematically in Figure 1.After a brief outline of the long and winding history ofbiological fuel cells,
this article deals with the operatingprinciples of various types of biological fuel cells andtheir technological
applications.History of biological fuel cellsFor centuries, microorganisms, which transform food intoan
electron flow, were only a biological curiosity; but nowscientists have made it possible to use them in
watchesand cameras as power sources 13 . Luigi Galvani, who noti-cedtwitching of isolated frog leg

phenomenon as early as in 1790 and theterm bioelectricity was coined after that observation. In1910,

And Fuel cells for biomass Batteries that I am sure exist.
And concept related to there use... Is Pesticide free bug and pest removal
Which If you think about it would need more than likely need to be regulated
for ecological reasons.
And that may not really solve the dilemma of which pests and when as with the case
of DDT poisoning pointed out by Rachael Carson connecting the dots of bird eggs
shells cracking too soon which aborted the eggs killing the birds chicks as exposed embryos.
Original reference from a story I received in an email from composer Chris Mann
RE: Fuel Cell (Battery to you) on blood make electricity in experiment
( in of all places vegetarian) India laboratory by removing sugar from blood, which
prompted the thought that an Artificial Pancreas using the properties of the fuel cell
would soon follow.
Fuel Cell with blood as fuel makes electricity in experiment in India.
Sugar is fuel not blood.
Blood is cleaned… Fuel Cell with blood as fuel Sugar is fuel not blood.
Q: I asked the question, is there a low cost Bio Mass Battery what powers them
and remembered also last year found a web site that had this headline.
Answer: Tiny Aircraft that Just Eat and Go.http://www.ch2bc.org/index3.htm
The above project is funded and runs on Mill spec. I think I can do this similar task
cheaper and the specific application has wider implications than blue-sky weapons 10? Years off…
Hey kids! It's robot bug killer time!
Perhaps this is a nice idea. I hedge because this is not a
primary focus of mine and I am just beginning to think about this seriously...
It is about a method to get rid of specific insects, which
is pesticide free, & hopefully without negative effect on the environment.
A:
By using a Bio Mass Battery to trap host insect & used it as food
(fuel, power) for the trap(s) operation.
The Electronic “Venus Flytrap” designed to
eliminate specific insects pests.
The Trap Killer operates in a series of cycle it.
1.Attracts
2. Captures
3. Kills
4. Turns it (the dead insect or it s usable parts)
into fuel charging a Bio Mass Battery which
in effect Digest the insects & converts the Bio Mass into fuel
IE: Electricity.
That is the general concept for the “Electronic Venus Flytrap”
Bio Mass Battery Pheromone Tree Beatle killer
Driven electronic bug killer (lets say also mosquito eater which would be able
to fool Mosquitoes and capture them IT could be Solar or wind powered.

#103 HELP!!!! These pictures were taken with a very high powered microscope where my friend works.
It’s one of those million-dollar scopes that not many places have. With the human eye, these pests are
about the size of a speck of pepper and seem to attack at night. He has had his place fumigated and
sprayed by professionals twice and nobody can seem to give him an answer as to what they are. He
collected these samples by applying tape to his arm where he felt them biting him. He lives in a basement
apartment. There is a drain outside that has water standing in it sometimes. He has taken his dog to the
vet and they can’t find anything. He has also used every cream and spray known to man. This has been
going on for about a month. It seems that when he sprays or fogs, he gets one or two days where things
aren’t that bad, but no lasting relief. I have done so much research online and the only bug I can find that
resembles this ugly thing is a Midge. The weird thing is we are in the US, and midges are normally in
Scotland around bodies of water. They have wings and the females bite. We have contacted a bug
scientist but his Microscope is not powerful enough to see the bug on the samples he gave him.
The scientist is hinting at the fact that my friend is crazy. This is very frustrating. If anyone could
help I would appreciate it. Thank you. Bobbi
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I and many others in Ontario, Canada call them No-See-Ems. They can get through screen doors,
tent windows and other small holes(very small holes). Don't take your bug to a "bug scientist".....lol.
Take your friend to a head scientist. I think he is crazy.
Willy
Re #103, I remember reading years ago a story about a woman with a similar problem - they thought
she was nuts because she had a weird rash. Eventually it turned out she had been sleeping under
an air conditioner which had an old bird's nest in it. The bird had some kind of extremely tiny parasites
and they were getting blown into the room. Nobody could see the parasites. The itching was driving
her crazy. R.F.
TINY AIRCRAFT POWERED BY BIO-FUEL CELLS
TO "LIVE" OFF FRUIT AND INSECTS
Tiny Aircraft that Just Eat and Go PhysOrg.com November 30, 2004
Aircraft the size of bees that get the energy they need by feeding themselves a diet of dead flies could be buzzing around the
battlefields and motorways of the future, thanks to research in southwest England. The aircraft, up to 15cm long and equipped
with sensors and cameras, could have a number of uses in civilian life and modern warfare, including reconnaissance missions,
traffic monitoring or fire and rescue operations. By "digesting" its own fuel, the aircraft could become autonomous and operate
without the need for refuelling, changing batteries or recharging from the mains.
Professor Chris Melhuish, Director of the Intelligent Autonomous Systems Laboratory at the University of the West of England,
says, “We are interested in developing robots that are intelligent and autonomous which means they do the right thing at the right
time and without human intervention. One of the big problems with autonomy is that of energy; they have to get their energy from
somewhere.
“To do this they need to get energy from their environment which could include sunlight or water, but in our case it is organic matter”.
The 1kg Ecobot doesn't move at any significant rate, about 30 metres per hour, but its ability to power itself by digesting its fuel
is a major advance in the way such units have been designed so far.
Insect-sized aircraft could be possible in the future, says Professor Melhuish, “The biological fuel cell would have to be made into
a soft system which might, in the future, be able to do some sort of movement at a small level, a small insect level.”
University of the West of England Intelligent Autonomous Systems Laboratory
The Intelligent Autonomous Systems Laboratory (IAS) researches ways in which autonomous robots - large and small; walking,
climbing and flying - can be developed to 'do the right thing at the right time'. Using innovative approaches researchers at UWE
are developing robots to assist humans in dangerous situations in, say, detecting land mines; inspecting, sorting mail,
risk-assessment or maintenance of hazardous or inaccessible plant and machinery, or in locating the sources of pollution.
