Osama Bin Laden reportedly has died. This would be shocking news if true, but personally I think it's a ruse to allow bin Laden
to 'retire' gracefully. First the news reports:
Reuters reports that French regional newspaper L'Est Republicain has reported that Osama bin Laden has died in Pakistan, saying
that Saudi Arabia is convinced that al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden died of typhoid in Pakistan last month. It printed what it
said was a copy of the report dated September 21 and said it was shown to President Jacques Chirac, Prime Minister Dominique
de Villepin and France's interior and defence ministers on the same day. "According to a usually reliable source, the Saudi
services are now convinced that Osama bin Laden is dead," the document said.
"The information gathered by the Saudis indicates that the head of al Qaeda was a victim while he was in Pakistan on August 23,
2006, of a very serious case of typhoid which led to a partial paralysis of his internal organs," the story says.
The report, which was stamped with a "confidential defence" label and the initials of the French secret service, said Saudi Arabia
first heard the information on September 4 and that it was waiting for more details before making an official announcement.
Officials contacted by Reuters in Chirac's and Villepin's offices had no immediate comment.
A senior official in Pakistan's interior ministry said: "We have no information about Osama's death." Pakistani officials have
doubts about the report of Osama's death. "No government has shared any such information with us so far, which is the normal thing
to do under such circumstances," the official, who has close knowledge of intelligence matters, said on condition of anonymity.
A US counterterrorism official was also unable to confirm the report. "It's quite possible (that) there was some talk of this, but
in terms of being able to confirm this, that I can't do."The US State Department had no immediate comment and was looking into the
reports. US officials have suggested that his death would be accompanied by a surge of e-mail and telephone chatter among bereaved
al Qaeda members, if not an actual announcement from the militant network. But officials said they were not aware of any such
chatter in recent weeks.
The French government has said it could not confirm the report and would investigate the intelligence leak.
The Washington-based IntelCenter, which monitors terrorism communications, said it was not aware of any similar reports on the
Internet. "We've seen nothing from any al-Qaida messaging or other indicators that would point to the death of Osama bin Laden,"
IntelCenter director Ben N. Venzke told The Associated Press.
Al-Qaida would likely release information of his death fairly quickly if it were true, said Venzke, whose organization also
provides counterterrorism intelligence services for the American government. "They would want to release that to sort of control
the way that it unfolds. If they wait too long, they could lose the initiative on it," he said.
L’Est Republicain reported on its website on Saturday that it based its information on a document classified ‘defence secret’
originating in the French DGSE intelligence services. The DGSE document, printed with the report, reads in part, "According to a
usually reliable source, the Saudi intelligence services are said to have acquired the information that Osama bin Laden is dead.
The information gleaned by the Saudis indicates that the head of Al Qaeda was a victim of a very strong attack of thyphoid...
in Pakistan on August 23, 2006." The document goes on to say that bin Laden’s geographical isolation rendered all medical assistance
impossible.
Now let's look at an alternate view.
Let's say Osama did die. Al Qaeda is already distributed around the globe and acting independently of centralized command and
control, and the death of its original organizer isn't going to affect them much beyond a personal sadness over his passing among
his followers. It will have no effect on their activities.
We should, in fact, hope that this is true for one reason. His dying of 'natural' causes rather than being roasted with a Hellfire
or obliterated with a Tomahawk at US hands eliminates the revenge factor. The added incentive to strike against the Great Satan
just might make the difference between success and failure for a terror operation.
But note that the rumors originate from the Saudis. Could this rumor of bin Laden dying just be a psy-op means by which an aging
and ailing Osama can covertly return to Saudi Arabia and live a life of quiet and anonymous retirement? It wouldn't be the first
time he was let off the hook by the US. Remember his escape from Tora Bora when he was supposed to be surrounded?
The Saudi Government has enough clout with Washington, both officially and through its long-term business ties with the Bush
family, to ensure that such a retirement could happen. The bin Laden family itself has extensive ties to the Bush business
interests, so it isn't much of a stretch to suggest that Osama's family might well be pulling a few strings to protect a prodigal
son who has returned home.
And that bold Bush promise to bring bin Laden to Justice? Make me laugh!

U.S. Iraq G.I. true toll - 26,000 killed, seriously wounded, or deserted? ... This means that of the 158,000 U.S. military shipped to Iraq, 26,000 deserted, were killed or seriously wounded.
The DoD lists currently being very quietly circulated indicate over 12,000 dead, over 25,000 seriously wounded and a l
arge number of suicides, forced hospitalization for ongoing drug usage and sales, murder of Iraqi civilians and fellow
soldiers, rapes, courts martial and so on...
... only soldiers actually killed on the ground in Iraq are reported. The dying and critically wounded are listed as en route to
military hospitals outside of the country and not reported on the daily postings. Anyone who dies just as the transport takes
off from the Baghdad airport is not listed and neither are those who die in the US military hospitals. more

Honor Killings
From Terrorism Unveiled (Hat tip: Polipundit)... a haunting review of the egregious and barbaric practice of
"Honor Killing" prevalent in certain cultures. I'll let you figure out for yourself exactly who the culprits are.
To kill a girl because she has sex is quite sickening, especially when the guy is deemed as only giving into the
girl’s "seductions." It’s even worse when the person who chooses to kill the girl is her father, brother or uncle.
I guess it reminds me of the passage in the Bible where Jesus rescues the woman who is about to be stoned and says
"he who is without sin cast the first stone."
When a family learns that the girl has threatened their "honor" in the community, they discuss this without the girl’s
presence, even with the mother, and they just "know" that the girl has to be killed in order to regain their standing
in the community—even though the community may not know about the relationship.
It’s not even a choice, but a duty. The mother knows this is the fate for her daughter, and even agrees to it,
sometimes choosing the manner in which she will die…perhaps being burned alive, her throat cut, stoned or clubbed to
death. The family leaves the house, and the person who is chosen to kill her comes in and does it as the family is
away so there are no witnesses. The whole community knows of the killing and accepts the family into the community
with open arms because they have wiped their slate clean with the blood of their child. Today I was visiting the
Center for Strategic Studies at the University of Jordan and my roommate, we’ll call here Sally, went with me
because she had to meet with the same professor as I. She started crying in the taxi on the way back home telling
me about her experience the other night with her Jordanian boyfriend, we’ll call him Malik...

Could Karl Rove's promised pre-election October surprise come in the form of Osama bin Laden's dead carcass and
a propaganda coup for the universally abhorrent war on terror? Recent indications suggest the final nail in the
coffin for this CIA poster child might be just around the corner.
In late 2002, nationally syndicated radio talk show host Alex Jones was told by a source close to the Bush family
that bin Laden was already dead and that the body had been handed over after an agreement with the bin Laden
family. The source said bin Laden was on ice and his death would be announced only right before the 2004 election.
Perhaps fearing fallout at the brazen transparency of this PR trick, Rove settled for a mere campaign endorsement
from bin Laden's videotape release and it was enough to give Bush the four point swing he needed to reclaim the
Oval Office. John Kerry blamed the late intervention for his defeat, Walter Kronkite accused Karl Rove of
personally orchestrating it. George W. Bush later attributed his victory to the tape.
We are already witnessing the wheels of propaganda begin to turn in anticipation of a major announcement of Bin
Laden's death.
Newsmax columnist Ronald Kessler cited Republican insiders as the source of the leak that Rove intends on pulling
a rabbit out of the hat to guarantee another Republican sweep this November. Rove didn't predict an October
surprise - he "promised" one.
News reports over the weekend have strongly introduced the premise into the minds of the public that bin Laden may
now have bitten the dust. A leaked secret French foreign intelligence document concluded that the Saudis thought
bin Laden was dead, a claim later denied. Reuters reports today that the Taliban say bin Laden is "alive and well."

There are several reliable indicators to suggest bin Laden died in early 2002 but in a sense it doesn't matter
whether the physical bin Laden still walks the planet or not. It is his image, carefully molded, packaged and
presented to the American people by the Pentagon's psy-op experts that dictates his activities, his characterization
and even his very existence.
These are the same snake oil salesmen that launched a propaganda assault targeted at the "U.S. home audience," to
grossly inflate Musab Al-Zarqawi's role in Iraq, a program that included manufacturing fake letters attributed to
Al-Zarqawi and getting the compliant Mockingbird press whores at the New York TImes to splash them on the front page
of the Old Grey Lady. The aim of the plan was to reinforce the 9/11-Al-Qaeda-Iraq mirage and hoodwink Americans into
thinking the ongoing bloodshed was a necessary reaction to the September 11 attacks as the fifth anniversary approached.
Like bin Laden, rumors of Al-Zarqawi's persistent death abounded but it was only with official proclamation that
his Pentagon projected image was finally laid to rest.
Save a carefully staged false flag terror attack, the October surprise is likely to be some wonderfully coincidental
breakthrough that will temporarily give the war on terror and by proxy the occupation of Iraq a thin veneer of sheen
and saving grace. Don't be surprised at the end of October when CIA rent boy Osama again comes up with the goods that
enable the Neo-Fascists to continue their unchallenged imperial crusade into Iran while legislating the necessity to
sexually torture infants in order to make bewildered Pakistani goat herders and perplexed Uzbek taxi drivers talk.

In a bizarre behind-the-scenes struggle, elements of the CIA not in cahoots with the Bush/Cheney
agenda try to manufacture a Psychological Operations war to bring down the president. They start
by leaking top-secret documents that prove Bush knew about 9/11 and he was driven to war in Iraq
not to get rid of weapons of mass destruction or ties to terrorists but to secure Middle Eastern oil.
Salon.com intelligence expert Thomas Powers and author of Intelligence Wars: American Secret History
from Hitler to Al Qaeda says the White House’s corruption of intelligence has caused the greatest
foreign policy catastrophe in modern U.S. history as well as sparked a civil war with the nation’s
intelligence agencies. This could lead to the not-so-unthinkable: a Bush impeachement trial.
The U.S. is now waging three wars, says Powers. One is in Iraq. The second is in Afghanistan. And the

to subdue “enemies of the state,” has laid a trap (with a long paper trail of evidence) for Bush and
company, who have gladly marched right into it. The recent resignation of CIA director George Tenet
and his deputy are the first active steps in springing that trap. Now that these two are simply “civilians,
they’re free to legally testify against a currently sitting administration in the impeachment trial that
will rise up from this debacle.

This may be the wildest theory, but who knows? It’s pretty safe to guess that any impeachment proceeding
may not proceed until after the 2004 election is over. If the Democrats call for impeachment this summer,
the Bush team will claim it’s a conspiracy against them (admittedly, with good reason). It’ll be easy for
the Republicans to bully Kerry and perhaps mobilize the unvoting republican and independent voting blocks
to turn out in force. If the smear campaign against Kerry doesn’t work, the Bush team will lean toward
other October surprise scenarios and combinations.

Diebold Election Systems Fixes the Vote in Battleground States
Vote scams and rigging have been commonplace in America – the last election proves how easy it is to
manipulate voting records and officials if you have the right connections. Serious and legitimate
concerns are already arising over possible vote rigging in the U.S. due to the number of electronic
voting machines supplied from Diebold, whose board of directors have all donated thousands of dollars
toward Republican elections and are otherwise known for their links to the Republican party.12
Diebold machines leave no verifiable audit trail and are therefore wholly dependent on the electronic
programming provided by the company. In fact CEO Walden O’Dell told Republicans in a recent fund-raising
letter that he is “committed to helping Ohio deliver its electoral votes to the president next year.”13
Besides that unusually bold statement, according to “How to Hack an Election,” from the January 31 issue
of the New York Times, “Concerned citizens have been warning that new electronic voting technology being
rolled out nationwide can be used to steal elections. Now there is proof. When the State of Maryland
hired a computer security firm to test its new machines, these paid hackers had little trouble casting
multiple votes and taking over the machines’ vote-recording mechanisms….’It was an ‘easy matter,’ they
reported, to reprogram the access cards used by voters and vote multiple times….
“ Maryland’s 16,000 machines all have identical locks on two sensitive mechanisms, which can be opened
by any one of 32,000 keys. The security team had no trouble making duplicates of the keys at local
hardware stores, although that proved unnecessary since one team member picked the lock in ‘approximately
10 seconds....’
“ The Maryland study confirms concerns about electronic voting that are rapidly accumulating from actual
elections. In Boone County, Ind., last fall, in a particularly colorful example of unreliability, an
electronic system initially recorded more than 144,000 votes in an election with fewer than 19,000
registered voters, County Clerk Lisa Garofolo said. Given the growing body of evidence, it is clear
that electronic voting machines cannot be trusted until more safeguards are in place.”14
Would the Bush camp resort to electronic vote rigging if it could get away with it? Of course.

U.S. Opens a New War Front
The possibilities are endless. Escalation in Israel, Iran, or Saudi Arabia is possible.
If Iran continues to develop nuclear weapons, the administration may call for air strikes on facilities.
Israel may attack Iran, Syria, or a half dozen other middle-eastern countries to “defend” itself from
terrorist or suspected nuclear power plants. The U.S. volunteers to help kill more civilians. Other
scenarios include massive civil unrest as a war of secession breaks out in Saudi Arabia. Elements of
the Saudi royal family (friends with the bush royal family, remember) ask for help to protect oilfields.
Should the “wrong” Saudi faction gain power, the neo-Cons go into preemptive war mode. The new war is
preceded by ghastly attacks against the U.S., and Saudi-funded groups take many U.S. civilians hostage.
These attacks give excuses for the Bush team to intervene by sending in the Special Ops groups to rescue
them. Proof that Saudis widely fund terrorism is unveiled, and Bush responds by invading and securing the
oilfields. Saudi bases are reopened and we occupy the Saudi capitol.

July 10th (and leaked to the Washington Post) was as critical of the country as it is possible to get.
It described Saudi Arabia as an enemy of the United States—‘the kernel of evil, the prime mover, the most
dangerous opponent’ in the Middle East. ‘The Saudis are active at every level of the terror chain,’
it argued, ‘from planners to financiers, from cadre to foot-soldier, from ideologist to cheerleader.’
It recommended that American officials give the House of Saud an ultimatum: stop backing terrorism,
or face a seizure of your oilfields and your financial assets in America.“
